Born on Feb. 13, 2008, in Harrisburg, Christian was the son of Eric T. and Waneta J. (Johnson) Todd, according to his obituary posted by Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home. A junior at Greencastle-Antrim High School, he also attended Career Tech, where he studied auto body mechanics and was on co-op with the family business, Todd Auto Body in Greencastle.
Christian was passionate about working on cars, particularly his beloved truck, which he received for his 16th birthday. “If he wasn’t working on his truck, he was cleaning it, buffing it, or just sitting in it, listening to the radio,” his sister Faith recalled. “He just loved that truck so much.”
Despite living with Type 1 diabetes, Christian never let it slow him down. He loved outdoor adventures, including riding four-wheelers, dirt bikes, and even biking the Great Allegheny Passage multiple times with his family. He was a member of the Saturday morning bowling league at Nellie Fox Bowling Alley and attended services at Ebenezer United Brethren Church.
“He was the type of person to take the shirt off his back if someone else needed it,” Faith said. “He loved kids and animals—if he wasn’t holding a baby, he was holding a cat.”
Christian shared a special bond with his family, helping his sister renovate her home and building a house with his mother and grandfather. He also loved family trips to the beach, camping, and vacationing in Cancun.
His impact was felt far and wide, as evidenced by the overwhelming turnout at his funeral. “Our hearts are hurting for Christian’s family and friends. Our whole community feels their pain. So very sorry for your loss,” wrote one mourner on his tribute wall.
His sister, Faith Todd, shared her heartbreak on social media, writing, "My heart forever broken. Still in disbelief. My little baby brother. I just can’t believe it 💔💔😭😭💔💔."
In addition to his parents, Christian leaves behind his sister, Faith N. Todd of Greencastle; grandparents, Jeff T. and Connie (Diehl) Todd of Greencastle, Yvonne and Daniel Lester of Thomasville, PA; great-grandmother, Sarah Johnson of Chambersburg; great-grandfather, Lloyd T. Todd of Greencastle; uncle Evan L. Todd and his wife, Kyra; aunt Kimberly Witmer and her husband, Anthony; and cousins Oakley A. Todd, Ashur R. Todd, Sierra Witmer, and Nathaniel Witmer, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Christian’s sudden passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his adventurous spirit, kindness, and generosity will never be forgotten.
